A solution for the post-fire recovery of the ecosystems

GreenRehab is a project funded by FCT (Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia) in the scope of the 1st Call for SR&TD Projects Forest Fire Prevention and Fighting – 2017 ( post-fire restoration and forest management in different temporal and spatial scale ) that aims at developing of a low-cost, eco-friendly and easy-to-implement system for the rehabilitation of burned soils through the application of primary producers (soil cyanobacteria and microalgae) and to implement a monitoring protocol to evaluate the success of post-fire ecosystem recovery (see our video for more details).
